T he abstract expressionistic art of Anastasia Pellerin is inspired by music, life, soul as quest and dreams as reality. Anastasia is a self-taught visual artist and utilizes a variety of techniques; from painting on canvas and wood with acrylics, to digital 'painting' and manipulations of photos. Her work is characterized by a joyous improvised expression inspired by the ever present music that catalyses her creativity. She started to take her visual work 'seriously' 15 years ago and since then has been featured in shows, the e-zine 'MetacreativeMagazine',a Four month Solo art show UNDERTHEDREAMDREAMTREE (June -October 2009) at the Highland Creek Toronto Metro Library as well as selling prints and originals around the world . Music remains the primary focus of her creativity. She was a dance student for years, studying the disciplines of jazz, ballet, tap, African, Spanish, and modern which she weaves into her own unique performance style. She is a vocalist with two musical acts currently in final production for release on the web. One act, 'Pellerin' (www.myspace.com/2pellerin) is an acoustic worldbeat/tribal/rock/gypsy/bluegrass collaboration with husband Bruce.
