Biography: Carlos Tirado

Every kid likes to draw, that's a fact. And I was no exception. It may sound cliché but I can assure you that  I am drawing since I was very young. I really started to think about a professional career in art when I enrolled in the Central School of Visual Arts, a school that specializes in art courses along with other regular classes. While there, I began experimenting with different medias. Later, upon graduating, I went to Ringling School of Art & Design in Sarasota, Florida where I majored in Illustration. Subsequently, I came back to Puerto Rico. I then started working as a freelance illustrator which gave the opportunity to work for magazines, local newspapers, children books, advertising agencies in different kinds of formats as editorial illustrations, storyboards and digital art. For the past six years, along with freelancing, I've been working full time for a small firm that produces architectural renderings in acrylic paint.
