Born in Colombia, she studied art at Los Andes University of Bogota and continued her
art studies abroad. She worked several years as a designer for a marble factory.
Searching for new applications for this material, she developed a line of accessories and
functional objects, thus creating a new image for that leading Colombian enterprise in this field.
In 1989, it was possible for her to leave the industry behind, and dedicate herself to art.
She then traveled to Pietrasanta, Italy to improve and learn new techniques making it
possible to fully undertake sculpting in her studio in Bogotá.
For many years she participated in various Colombian artistic events, exhibits and symposiums.
Later she moved her studio to Cartagena, where she restored a colonial house in the magical atmosphere of this Caribbean corner of the world.
Actually she lives between Cartagena and Florida where she is working in “Studio 18” and participating in many exhibitions in Boca Raton and Fort Lauderdale.
