About me:
Bachelors in Fine Arts, Major in Etching, University of Concepción, Chile. The subject I explore in my paintings touches upon the infinite relationship between man and his surroundings; an encounter of the real and the imaginary. The human figure becomes a protagonist in these figurative spaces, sharing the scene with elements which could belong to everyday life or fantastic scenarios. My characters are dressed with atemporal, colorful, and playful clothes or costumes which aid in a certain way to hiding their true personality. They are like actors representing a certain role in the piece who cannot express their own emotions: Trapeze artists and buffoons balancing on balls, tightropes, or bicycles. Static and dynamic elements articulated in evocative unreal spaces.
