About me:
JAIME ABRIL
I was first inspired to create my own art through my research of the great masters. After high school, I ventured into the field of fine arts in my native country of Colombia. My passion for painting grew as I began to perfect the techniques of light and shadow, form, and texture that give both life and interaction to my work.
These paintings have been admired in museums and private exhibitions, both individually and collectively. They have been shown in North America, from New York to Washington, and in Europe, from Rome to Madrid, as well as Central and South America. The paintings have been featured in art exhibitions such as Shanghai Art Fair, China, Miami Art, Art Santa Fe, Art Caracas, FIART 1ª International Art Fair, Sto. Dgo. Dominican Republic, and in Buenos Aires, which, during the VII Bienal de Arte Sacro, pintura, 1998, highlighted my painting, “AMARTIA – El comienzo de la autodestrucción”.
