About me:
My first contact with drawing was at a young age , around 15, when I used the wall of my bedroom as a canvas. Since then I have experimented with lots of materials, like acrylic, digital processed photographs, paper, wire and sand among others, in my attempt to express feelings and ideas concerning humans and our times. Themes like desperation, time, passion, love, hope and the unknown emerge through the composition of colours , symbols and the way I use my brushes- spatulas, sponge or my fingers on the canvas. For me, the process of drawing and collage are equally important with the piece of art itself, as well as with the impression and the feeling that it evokes to the viewer. I work on the floor, I move around and on the canvas from different angles, drawing spontaneously. The result varies, sometimes “flirting” with abstract expressionism and other times with surrealism, however, always remaining contemporary, sensual and dark.
