Karen Brookman is a freelance artist in Liverpool, working in a range of mediums and styles but specialising in:
- Abstract figurative art
- Landscape photography
- Abstract photography
Karen is also known as Aphrodite Art, a name inspired by her love of Greek mythology, with the Greek goddess Aphrodite also being an influence on a series of mythical ladies seen in her artwork.
Her work is sold not only locally but internationally, but Karen also works as a freelance art teacher in North West England.
Aphrodite Art designs and delivers a range of art based workshops in Merseyside and its surrounding areas, with a wealth of experience as an educator that includes:
- Teaching the primary curriculum
- Leading creative educational sessions in schools, galleries, museums and community centres for children and adults
- Experience of working with those who have learning difficulties, English as an additional language & mental healh issues
- Experience of working with all ages from children to the elderly
Aphrodite Art is currently developing new abstract art workshops in the community to cater for a range of people throughout the North West.
