Berlin Bazar
December is different in Berlin, most independent galleries show a few small pieces by all
of their artists and we thought we’d do something similar. We opened the doors to all the
creative people we’ve met while putting on our last three shows. The result really took us
by surprise, in one area we have the work of artists from New York, Columbia, Japan, India
and Namibia! And I love it! There’s Mexicans, a Parisian, a young artist from Spain, Brian’s
showing some of his stuff and five artists from Germany.
We’re only missing an Australian! But there’s chances we might have an Aussie DJ for the
party on the 18 December.
News From Abroad
Did any of you read the Mark Espiner pieces in The Guardian? Apparently Berlin is being
touted as the new East End, and London artists are moving here in their droves. Mark
came here for a fortnight to do a culture comparison. Suffice it to say that after two weeks
he’s thinking of moving here himself! All the artists mentioned above can’t all be wrong.
