About me:
The perception of light and the atmospheric changes of sunlight and shadow are the inspiration of my paintings. My pictures are depictions of color applied with a float or a house painter’s roller to create texture surfaces. I want to capture the mysterious effects of light variation over various surfaces to coax the viewer into a state of temporary pleasure. Chasing rainbows is my fascination. It is a metaphor for our ephemeral human condition. It is a meditative work that may reflect Nietzsche’s words: “Art is the desire to be elsewhere”.
