Tracey Hagen
Miami Beach,Florida

Nationality :
American

About me:
Tracey Hagen is a Miami-based contemporary visual artist / photographer. Inspired by her photographer uncle Bill and greatly influenced by summers developing X-rays in her fathers dental office, the Miami native got her first camera at the tender age of seven. . . Black white photography is Hagens primary medium. However, her photography expands into color and spans from street photography to portraiture utilizing alternative printing processes such as aluminum metal prints and canvas. Hagen has also delved into installation art with her current project, Memory. The project will utilize hundreds of photographs of her fathers patients dating back to 1949, primarily black white Polaroids taken by her father. Memory draws upon the various generations of native Miami children and their childhood memories.. . Self-taught, Hagen has participated in numerous group shows throughout the US. She was a juried resident artist at the Art Center/ South Florida in 2006 and has recently been juried in and relocated to The Bakehouse Art Complex in the Wynwood Arts District. Her work has been acquired by private collections including Frank Bergman of The Bergman Collection, Martin Burdock of Cirque de Soliel, Alan Randolph of Ocean Drive Magazine, among others.. . .
